Far Eastern Federal University, Department of Mechanical Engineering Technical University of Dortmund (Germany) and the Research Institute of welding joints and Osaka University (Japan) opened a joint testing laboratory. Russian, German and Japanese scientists will work together to study the strength of new materials, including composite alloys for use in shipbuilding, aircraft construction, mechanical engineering and other industries. Each university will focus on a certain direction: Far Eastern Federal University will conduct static materials testing, University of Dortmund - test samples on the dynamic fracture, and researchers at the University of Osaka-based colleagues obtained data will be engaged in modeling the behavior of the materials. Laboratory is equipped with SHIMADZU testing instruments for measuring the strength of the samples during their compression, tension, and bending.
Shimadzu Tandem Mass Advance Application school
in conjunction with the Italian Tandem Mass Society
FY 2014 FY 2015
- FY 2015 FY 2016
The Shimadzu Advance LCMS Application school was developed in order to be able to demonstrate to the Italian scientific community the level of competence in LCMS that Shimadzu has in this area and the innovation and novelty in the instruments that we manufacture. The school covers theory aspects in the filed of Environmental, Clinical, Food, Pharma & Life Sciences and is address to any members of the LCMS community that have already experience and are looking to expand their knowledge beyond peak analysis . The school is divided in 2 sessions: first session is done in Italy with professors and the second session is done in Kyoto but here only the top 4 students from previous session will be able to participate. the first year we had 28 students in the 1st week and 5 student in the second week. this year we had 25 student in the first week and 4 students in the second week. We are looking forward to keep promoting high education and science spread to the scientific community.
