Shimadzu SGB/STB series dynamic balancing machines offer outstanding precision, reliability and ease of use. They are widely used on production lines to balance small rotating parts. These two-plane balancing machine models are small enough to be used on a tabletop.

  • Capable of balancing workpieces from 0.001 kg to 30 kg (series includes six models for different weight requirements).
  • Sensitivity is calibrated using actual workpieces, resulting in extremely small error levels at full-scale, and highly precise plane separation.

Typical Applications

Small motors, small rotors, fans, hard disk drives, high speed rotating polygon mirrors, and rotating parts in general

  1. Standard machines include one standard bearing. Cost estimates for special bearings are available on request.
  2. The minimal achievable residual unbalance will vary with the workpiece weight and the test speed.Refer to the attached sensitivity diagram for details.
  3. Depending on the form and weight of the workpiece, the test speed may be increased beyond the specified range.
  4. Upward-tangential drive systems are available on request.
