Polychromator Type Optical Spectrum AnalyzerSPG-V500 (InGaAs type) Laser Spectrum Analyzer

Take Optical Communications-Band Spectral Measurement to the Next Level with Measurement Speeds Unique to Polychromators-Covers 950–1700 nm

Measurements unique to polychromators—such as assessing spectral behavior and capturing instantaneous spectra—add value in the development and manufacture of laser light sources.

SPG-V500

Features

Capture instantaneous spectral behavior

Visualize spectra in real time

Reduce setup time and measurement time

  • Assess Spectral Behavior in the Blink of an Eye Using Simultaneous Multi-Wavelength Measurements
Simultaneous multi-wavelength measurements, mode hopping, and other transient spectral behaviors can be assessed. Pulsed lasers can also be measured

  • Improve Efficiency with Simple Setup and High-Resolution, High-Speed Measurements
This instrument achieves a wavelength resolution of 50 pm or better not only for single-mode fibers but also for multimode fibers. Measurement is performed simply by orienting the optical fiber toward the light source, eliminating the need for precise optical alignment. Spectral measurements are instantaneous, reducing the total measurement time.

  • Fast High Dynamic Range Measurements ※Optional feature
A proprietary algorithm enables a high dynamic range, fully leveraging the SPG-V500’s high-speed performance.
With the high dynamic range mode enabled, an SMSR of up to 60 dB (10,000 times higher than typical measurements) can be obtained in 1 second or less.

Example: measurement of a 1550 nm DFB laser
(Nominal wavelength: 1547 nm, Measurement wavelength range: approx. 14.3 nm)
