Improved Character Input Function (EP-110 software Ver. 3.00 or later only)
As shown in the figure below, a list of characters that can be entered is now displayed, allowing the user to select a character using the up/down/left/right keys quickly and accurately.
Character input is now easier and smoother than before, making it more efficient to input sample IDs and other information to be printed with the weights. For example, the number of keystrokes to enter 5 characters with the improved version can be reduced to 1/7 of the number of keystrokes before the improvement.
Header Printing Function When Using DIRECT Mode (EP-110 software Ver. 3.10 or later only)
When using DIRECT mode on the EP-110, you can print measurement values with a header appended (e.g., model name, sample number). The available header items are shown in the table below.
To configure the items to be printed, simply press the [INPUT] key and check the items you want to include.

Added Date and Time Synchronization Function with AP Series Analytical Balances. (EP-110 software Ver. 3.10 or later only)
"AP series" refers to all series of AP, AP W ex, AP W-AD, and AP W-AD ex.
If the balance supports the date/time reading command, you can enable "Time set only by balance" to automatically synchronize the time setting with the balance. Synchronization is performed under the following conditions.
- Automatically once when the power is turned on.
- Every 10 hours thereafter.
- When the balance information is acquired (Refer to “Obtaining Balance Information (AP Series Only) ” ).

Added “Obtaining Balance Information (AP Series Only)” (EP-110 software Ver. 3.10 or later only)
You can obtain the model name, serial number, user name, date and time information from the AP Series balance.
This allows you to register the model name, serial number, username, and date/time to be printed on the header in modes such as DIRECT mode, without having to perform any configuration operations on the EP-110 itself.

Setting the Header Print Timing (Older Ver. Mode)
The timing of header printing has been changed for the EP-110 since software version 3.00, and for the EP-100 since software version 2.15.
This specification change caused inconsistencies with existing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). To resolve this issue, it is now possible to set the header printing timing to the pre-specification change version. You can change this setting by selecting "Older Ver. mode" in the "Normal Set" menu.

Older Ver. The following table shows the difference in operation depending on mode ON/OFF. As an example, the following table shows the header printing timing when WEIGHING mode is used.

Note: In firmware Version 3.10 for EP-110, the display and print language is fixed to English. Selection between English and Chinese is no longer available.
