  • * If using an Empower enterprise system, Shimadzu’s dedicated LAC/E™ server is required.
  • * Shimadzu LC and Waters LC systems cannot be connected to the same computer or data acquisition server at the same time.
  • * When using a combination of Empower 3.10.0 or later and Shimadzu LC driver pack Ver. 5.50 or later, up to 4 Shimadzu LCs can be controlled by 1 computer or acquisition server (such as LAC/E). However, among them, a maximum of 2 PDA detectors can be controlled.
  • * When using a combination of Empower earlier than 3.10.0 and Shimadzu LC driver pack earlier than Ver. 5.50, up to 4 Shimadzu LCs can be controlled by 1 computer or acquisition server (such as LAC/E). However, if there are 1 (or 2) PDA detectors connected, the number of LC units connected is limited to 3 (or 2).
  • * To control a Shimadzu LC, a Shimadzu LC control license is required in addition to a LAC/E system control license.
