This is the AGX-V.
At Shimadzu, our aim is to develop instruments that provide the highest level of test results. To this end, we created the AGX, the highest class of testing machine in the industry. It features a high rigidity frame; multi processors, high-speed sampling and high-accuracy automatic control; an intelligent crosshead; stroke limit switches; a high degree of safety; a smart controller equipped with a progressive user interface; and software that supports the creation of test conditions and data processing with intuitive operability.
Shimadzu has been manufacturing testing machines for more than 100 years. The AGX series is the culmination of the continuous evolution of the AUTOGRAPH based on our wealth of experience and achievements, and insights from customers around the world.

ASTM D5379 V-Notched Beam Testing (losipescu) of CFRP
The V-notched beam testing method (Iosipescu method, ASTM D5379) is used widely in the field of composite materials for testing in-plane shear. This test method applies an asymmetrical four-point compression load to a sample with V-notches, which enables the application of only shear stress on the evaluation area.
This method can be used with various CFRP laminate materials, including unidirectional materials, orthogonally laminated materials, and materials with discontinuous fibers.

Hydrogen Energy Analysis Solutions for Quality Control of Hydrogen
Impurities in hydrogen production affect subsequent industrial processes. Strict purity standards have been defined for hydrogen used in fuel cells (ISO 14687-2019). This is because if hydrogen contains carbon monoxide, sulfur components, etc., the catalyst of the fuel cell will be damaged. The hydrogen fuel standard for FCVs (ISO 14687 TypeII GradeD) defines many items to be controlled, and Shimadzu analytical instruments can play a role in analyzing these items.

Shimadzu announces the release of TRAPEZIUM SATELLITE, a remote monitoring system for testing machines. This system enables the remote assessment of test conditions by checking instrument images using a USB camera and operating status data obtained from the fatigue testing machine.
