Plane Diffraction Gratings

Standard Plane Gratings (Low Stray Light and High Efficiency)

Lo-Ray-Ligh®

Lo-Ray-Ligh is an exceptionally low stray light grating that guarantees the value of stray light measured by Shimadzu's laser stray-light measuring system.
Shimadzu’s new holographic exposure method and optimized etching process have made it possible to produce gratings that are both highly efficient and exceptionally low in stray light.

Standard Blazed Gratings

Blazed holographic gratings (BHG), compared to conventional mechanically ruled gratings, ensure less stray light without any reduction in diffraction efficiency.
An extensive lineup of groove densities, ranging from 100 grooves/mm to 2400 grooves/mm, is available for your application.

Gratings for High Resolution Spectrometers

Gratings with higher groove density than conventional products enable higher optical resolution in spectrometers.
Two types of diffraction gratings are available for the wavelength ranges of 118 to 360 nm and 190 to 400 nm.

Gratings for various laser applications

These gratings are suitable for various laser applications (external cavity, pulse control).
By applying TM waves (S-polarization), a high diffraction efficiency is expected across a wide range of wavelengths.

Gratings for Near Infrared Region

High relative diffraction efficiency for S-polarized near-infrared light results in excellent performance for NIR applications.
Relative efficiency of 80% or more (1550 nm, S-polarized) is guaranteed.
