Short Optical Path Measurement
This is used to measure samples, without diluting them, with an absorbance too high to be measured using a standard square cell with an optical path length of 10 mm.
Three types of spacers are available to provide path lengths of 1, 2 and 5 mm. As shown in the figure, the spacer is inserted between the cell and the inner wall of the standard square cell holder.

Shimadzu has released the AIRsight, Infrared/Raman Microscope
Raman and FTIR microscopy in perfect harmony. Infrared and Raman Microscope based on a combination of two analytical techniques to provide complementary molecular information. The AIRsight system improves the efficiency of analytical operations by making it easy to perform all process steps from sample observation to data analysis.
In order to reduce plastic waste, the development of eco-friendly alternative materials is being promoted. As an alternative, biomass plastics and biodegradable plastics are becoming more widely available. Biodegradable Plastics are plastics that are decomposed into low-molecular compounds by microorganisms in the environment. So they break down easily in nature, which is an opposite characteristic of petroleum-based plastics.
Various instruments are used for the appraisal of precious stones. These instruments are not limited to general gemstone appraisal tools such as the stereoscopic microscope, but also include various analytical instruments.
