Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) analysis using GC is a highly accurate method for determining the composition and impurities of LPG. The major components of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) are hydrocarbons such as propane, butane, isobutane, propylene, and butylene. The compounds to be analyzed are mainly hydrocarbons in LPG, but trace amounts of oxygenated compounds are also analyzed as impurities. There are two injection methods. One is to inject liquefied LPG directly using a liquid sampling valve. The other is to inject liquefied LPG gas into GC using a vaporizer.
