Fully Automated Sample Preparation Module for LCMS
Fully automated sample preparation module for LCMS based on Shimadzu's extensive experience manufacturing clinical systems that perform blood coagulation analysis.
Simply place blood collection tubes in position and the module automatically performs sample pretreatment steps up to LC/MS/MS analysis.
Due to superior specificity, leading to better analytical accuracy and precision, liquid chromatograph mass spectrometers (LC-MS/MS) have started to be used for confirmatory measurements of drugs, steroids, and vitamin D. Manual sample preparation procedures can lead to variations and mistakes, often due to the procedure being used or an operator’s inexperience. Connecting a fully automated CLAM-2030 to an LC-MS/MS system minimizes these issues, enabling fully automated and highly accurate analysis throughout the entire process – from pretreatment to LC/MS/MS measurement – using touch-panel software operation.
Reliable Data Acquisition
Fully automates processes from pretreatment to LC/MS/MS analysis.
Reduces variability in internal standard substance concentration (using vials with septa installed).
Equipped with a full range of accuracy control functions.
Reduces operator errors.
Eliminates the Need to Review Settings for Routine Work
Automates processes from searching toxicological drug libraries to generating reports.*1
Provides the optimal analytical method.*2
Improves Efficiency of Processes
Makes it easy to create or review new pretreatment protocols.
Samples can be added or processing interrupted in an emergency.*3
Text files can be used to load analysis requests from a LIS or output concentration values to a specified folder.
*1: Requires the LC/MS/MS forensic toxicological database or rapid toxicology screening system ver. 3, which are sold separately.
*2: Limited to commercial LC/MS/MS analysis kits and other methods available for supply.
*3: The number of interruptions or samples that can be added is limited by the number of pretreatment vials placed.

What is a Method Package?
Method Package contains ready-to-use analytical conditions and sample pretreatment procedures optimized for Shimadzu mass spectrometers and specific analytical applications.
Shimadzu has released the LC/MS/MS Methid Package for Glycosaminoglycans
The study of Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) or mucopolysaccharides, and enzymes involved in GAG metabolism is an important aspect of clinical research related to lysosomal storage. Quantitation of GAGs in bones, joints, the brain, heart, lungs, and other organs is a useful tool in this field of study. GAGs can be quantitated by measuring the sulfated disaccharides produced by enzymatic degradation of GAGs. The research group led by Hironori Kobayashi of Shimane University Hospital, Clinical Laboratory Division, has been instrumental in the development of methods for the detection of sulfated disaccharides by LC/MS.
Shimadzu has released the LC/MS/MS Method Package for PFAS in Drinking Water.
Provides procedures and methods for analyzing organofluorine compounds in drinking water according to EPA methods 533 and 537.1
Shimadzu has released the CoreFocus Library.
CoreFocus Library is a digital library where you can find and learn different methods for analyzing your target compounds.
Shimadzu has released the Peakintelligence™
Peakintelligence is a world-first algorithm incorporating AI assistance to search for chromatography peaks. Having learnt peak processing skills from experienced users, the AI can process data with the same skill level. The algorithm can be implemented immediately without adjusting any parameters, and reduce wrong detection by 1/3 compared conventional algorithm with default setting.
Shimadzu has released the Multi-omics Analysis Package
The Multi-omics Analysis Package is metabolic engineering software that can automatically generate metabolic maps and perform a variety of data analysis based on the vast amounts of mass spectrometry data generated in fields such as metabolomics, proteomics, and flux analysis
