The AP W-AD ex and the AP W ex series of analytical balances have improved their minimum weight from 20 mg to 13 mg, achieving industry-leading performance among commercially available analytical balances (with a minimum display of 0.01 mg).
In recent years, the trend in the analytical balance industry has been to minimize the minimum weight, to meet the demands of pharmaceutical and API manufacturers. The minimum weight for analytical balances is the value determined from repeatability tests based on the examination procedures in the European Pharmacopoeia, the United States Pharmacopeia, and the Japanese Pharmacopoeia.

Automatic (AI) Detection of Impurities to Improve Quality Inspections of Pharmaceuticals and Food Products
LabSolutions Detect is a software with AI Functionality to support Anomaly Detection for Liquid Chromatographs (LC). To improve quality inspections for pharmaceuticals and food products, this software quickly detects impurity contamination by comparing LC analysis data with pre-registered data.
Generally, most analysts perform visual inspection of analysis data as final review that this significantly increases the workload, leading to a higher likelihood of human errors. By using automatic impurity detection (AI), LabSolutions Detect improves Quality and Safety by minimizing the oversight of anomalies..
With LabSolutions Detect, correct data and standard values are first registered for peaks showing the type and number of components that must be contained in target compounds. Using the pre-registered data as a base, the software supports determinations of whether the required components are present in sufficient amounts, and if there are any unknown impurities in the sample. Anomalies from large quantities of data are quickly detected by overlaying chromatograms, checking them visually, and automatically comparing similar peaks.

i-Series Integrated High-Performance Liquid Chromatographs
Achieves High-Reliability Analysis through Automatic Diagnosis of Instrument Status prior to Analysis
The LC-2070 and the LC-2080, two models of i-Series integrated high-performance liquid chromatographs feature heightened data reliability and operational efficiency while carrying over the robustness, stability, and data compatibility of previous series. Additionally, for the first time in this series, recycled resins have been adopted for the outer panels and the main housing, thereby lessening the environmental impact.
The i-Series are compact, tabletop models, but provide high basic performance and quick analysis. In total, more than 43000 units have been sold worldwide, primarily to pharmaceutical companies. In the two models being released, a function has been added to diagnose the status of the major units automatically at instrument startup, as well as intelligent Column Management Platform (iCMP), an optionally available function that provides consolidated management of column information. The i-Series maintains the robustness required for all routine analysis required for quality control and enhances operational efficiency and consistency of data acquisition regardless of operator experience level. Additionally, the LC-2070 and LC-2080 use the method development software LabSolutions MD, so in addition to routine analysis, new analysis methods can be developed to suit the objective.

MicrobialTrack MALDI-TOF MS Microbial Identification Platform
A new global platform for microbial identification powered by the world’s largest database.
The MicrobialTrack, featuring the most extensive database that covers approximately 85,000 prokaryotic species, including not only well-known, previously described microorganisms but also hard-to-culture and uncultured microorganisms, redefines the boundaries of MALDI-TOF MS-based microbial identification.
MicrobialTrack employs a "proteomics approach" to identify microbial species based on the similarity between the theoretical masses of proteins estimated from genomes and the observed masses of proteins derived from samples. It is a cloud-based service that enables the identification of microorganisms in a web browser. The service does not require a dedicated PC or software installation. Users simply register and then access the designated URL to proceed with the analysis. The MicrobialTrack database is updated regularly to include newly added taxa as genome sequences and to reflect the most recent taxonomic system, which is continually evolving. Users will have access to the latest MicrobialTrack database during the license period.

The ALTRACE is the flagship model of Shimadzu energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometers (EDX). Its X-ray optical system and signal processing system have been completely redesigned, and it provides high-sensitivity measurements of trace inorganic elements. The new Brevis GC-2050 Systems integrate the gas chromatograph Brevis GC-2050 with various pretreatment devices and detectors. The new releases include the "Automatic Gas Analysis System," "Jetanizer/Polyarc Microreactor System," "Customized GC System," "Multi-Detector GC System," "Thermal Desorption System," "Pyrolysis Analysis System," and "Headspace Sampler System.“
All seven systems feature the new "ECO Idling Function" in the Brevis GC-2050, which automatically learns device usage patterns to reduce gas and power consumption. For the first time in the world, the GC system visualizes the cumulative CO2 reduction during operation, enhancing users' energy-saving awareness. SPM-9700HT Plus Scanning Probe Microscope
Making the Unknown Visible
The SPM-9700HT Plus scanning probe microscope can obtain localized physical property information in one tenth the time of previous Shimadzu models. It will contribute to evaluations and research into nano materials, as a general-purpose model of scanning probe microscope (SPM) providing both operability and efficiency.
With improved signal processing speeds and optimized control methods, this product obtains images of physical properties at higher speeds. Mapping images of the results of observations of physical properties, which took about 6 hours with previous models, can be obtained in 30 minutes or less using the dedicated Nano 3D Mapping Fast software (optionally available). Additionally, the software is equipped with NanoAssist, a function that supports stable imaging by automatically setting the observation conditions. It is also equipped with mechanisms to heighten operability, including a head-slide mechanism to quickly exchange samples, and CantileverMaster (optionally available), which simplifies attachment of the consumable probe.
