  • The Shimadzu Environmental and Social Report 2014 received the Excellence Award at the 18th Environmental Communication Awards.
  • Shimadzu Forest, planted south of the new Head Office building, acquired AAA evaluation, the highest score from the Japan Habitat Evaluation & Certification Program (JHEP certification).
  • All Shimadzu manufacturing, R&D, and sales sites, and major affiliated companies received integrated ISO 14001 certification.
  • Activities at the Shimadzu Corporation Forest received the Forest Workers Association President Award at the Forest Creation Contest for Kyoto's Future.
  • Shimadzu started wild ginger (Futaba-Aoi) and thoroughwort preservation activities at the Shimadzu Forest.
  • Started certifying Eco-Products Plus certified environmentally-friendly products (name was changed from "ECO-label compliant products").
